Last Wednesday Ms Curran and Ms Burke brought some of our 6th class girls to the Rotunda Hospital to do some work on behalf of the the neonatal unit there. A large number of babies are born less than 32 weeks gestation and weigh less than 1500 Grams. The girls learnt that small premature and sick bigger babies will be admitted to the neonatal unit for observation, treatment and ongoing care. Our girls played a very important and rewarding role by helping to put together the gorgeous little hand knitted hats that will help the babies to grow strong and healthy.
