Malahide Castle

25th Oct 2017

We had a fabulous visit to Malahide Castle today.  Did you know that both the ladies and the gentlemen wore make-up with arsenic and lead? We learned about the origins of the expression 'saving face' and the wow factor of the pineapple!  We all really enjoyed the tour and some of the boys were convinced they saw chairs move in the dining room.  Maybe the ghost of Puck......  We visited the walled garden and got to observe the life cycle of the butterfly.  We all enjoyed the playground and had a lovely walk back to school.  Many thanks to Martha and Clíona for coming along today.
